About the artist

Eliassa Jihad (b. 1990, El Jadida, Morocco)
A contemporary Moroccan artist who graduated from the National Institute of Fine Arts in Tetouan and has exhibited internationally in Casablanca, London, and Paris. Working primarily in paintings and limited edition luxury pieces including scarves, jewelry, and sculptures, Eliassa is known for his innovative approach to Moroccan heritage, masterfully blending traditional iconography and cultural symbols with contemporary visual distortions and digital glitch aesthetics to create a modern reinterpretation of ancestral traditions. His artistic practice spans multiple collections, from his signature glitch-infused works that reimagine how we perceive cultural legacy, to more reverent series like "Sacred Vitrine," which explores the fragility and sacredness of Moroccan traditions without digital manipulation. Through this dual approach, Eliassa creates a compelling dialogue between preservation and transformation, establishing himself as a distinctive voice in contemporary Moroccan art who honors the past while pushing cultural expression into new visual territories.
